Benefit Céilí for Tulla Pipe Band with The Five Counties Céilí Band
Céilí with The Five Counties Céilí Band on Saturday 17th September, in aid of The Tulla Pipe Band, starting at 9.30.
Founded in 1936, The Tulla Pipe Band is the only pipe band in the county, and is going as strong as ever after 80 years! That is no surprise as the very popular pipe band has a busy schedule of engagements throughout the county….and beyond. The Five Counties Céilí Band is one of the most popular Céilí Bands in the country. Several of the line-up are members of the Shandrum Céilí Band which recently won - for a second year - the All Ireland Céilí Band Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉirenn here in Ennis. Their talent and style lends to a particularly wonderful atmosphere always in Cois na hAbhna, as they play an excellent selection of Reels, Jigs, Polkas and Hornpipes. The line-up of Alan Finn on Button Accordion, Eoin O’Sullivan on Banjo, Aileen O’Callaghan on Piano, Noel Clancy on Drums, Siobhán Hogan on Flute and Mairead Fitzgibbon on Fiddle ensures that there will be a fabulous night of music to listen to, and dance to, as well as benefiting The Tulla Pipe Band. Dancing from 9.30 – 12.30.
